Misty Blues: Ticketed Show

Misty Blues: Ticketed Show

This is a ticketed show. $28 advance ticketing. $33 at the door.

All ages show.

2019 International Blues Challenge finalist, Misty Blues, is fronted by lead singer/band founder Gina Coleman. The band is based out of Berkshire County, Massachusetts playing original and traditional blues with hints of jazz, soul, funk and tent revival gospel since 1999. The band has recorded with Eric Gales, Charles Neville and Joe Louis Walker, and opened for contemporary blues artists like Shemekia Copeland, Mike Zito, Albert Castiglia, Tab Benoit, James Montgomery, John Primer, Roomful Of Blues, Albert Cummings and Michael Powers. Misty Blues performs extensively throughout New England and has toured the continental U.S., Canada and the UK. The band has been nominated for a few Independent Blues Music Awards and their original recordings have broad international airplay. In 2024 the band had a song they released selected for use in a U.S. Presidential campaign ad.

In the summer of 1999 Gina Coleman was performing in the Williamstown Theatre Festival production of A Raisin In The Sun. That production featured the acting of Ruben Santiago Hudson, Viola Davis, Kimberly Elise and Gloria Foster. Coleman was cast as a gospel singer. Nearing the end of the show’s run, Ruben Santiago Hudson gave Coleman a cd collection entitled Men Are Like Streetcars. He told her that her voice was perfectly suited for the blues and urged her to take that next musical direction. Coleman heeded his advice, and after a quarter of a century, Misty Blues has stood the test of time.

Silver Lining, the band's 15th album released in their 25 years together, exemplifies their musical evolution as a contemporary blues band — and how the blues can play center stage amongst a cast of varied genre influences. The album tells the story in the lyrical blues style of the band’s intrepid journey through the ups and downs of the last 25 years as one of the hardest working musical groups in New England.

“I am absolutely blown away by how fast 25 years has come and gone. It feels like it was yesterday when I asked Bill Patriquin if he wanted to be in a blues band with me. The evolution of the band has taken several turns over the past quarter of a century, but I couldn’t be happier with the direction and caliber of music we are producing today. Silver Lining is categorically the best music we have created and I can’t wait to see what we do next!”

– Gina Coleman

All ticket purchases are final sale. Refunds will only be issued if the show is cancelled by the venue or performer. In the event of a show cancellation and ticket refund, the refund will be the full ticket price minus the booking fees.

The Deep River Ramblers

The Deep River Ramblers

Back again for a couple of Thursday night shows in May, and off their recent performance in the Back Porch Festival.

Tom Paxton once said, “Nothing makes a better show than a bunch of good songs.” The Deep River Ramblers prove Paxton right with their impeccable choice of songs, played with soul and sensitivity. Originally formed to play a Doc Watson tribute show, the Deep River Ramblers found their voice as a band through their series of annual tribute shows at Signature Sounds’ Back Porch Festival. “It was really inspiring for us to unearth the deep catalogs of these great artists and share that with people,” says multi-instrumentalist and singer Jim Henry.
In their service to the song, the band explores all possibilities of the trio format. Everyone is a singer and vocal harmonies often take front-and-center. Multi-instrumentalists Chris Brashear and Jim Henry have a sensitive and dynamic interplay, whether playing guitar, fiddle, mandolin, or dobro. Bass player Paul Kochanski leads with his mantra–just make it sound good. And that’s what this trio does. Expect to hear uncommon songs by your favorite artists, original songs, traditional tunes, and above all else–master musicians playing in service to their songs and stories.  -Max Wareham

A suggested donation of $5 to $10 would be much appreciated. All collections go directly to the band.
