Head Brewer and Co-Owner Nathan Perry was born and raised in Conway, a product of the woods and wilds of the Western MA hilltowns. After graduating from UMass Amherst and a brief stint in southern Vermont, he moved to San Diego. There he became enamored with the craft beer of southern California, but more importantly, met Mesi Charles at a beachy dive bar called the Silver Fox. Mesi is Trinidadian American by way of the land of Bon Jovi, aka New Jersey. Having gone to college at the University of Rhode Island, she fell for the beauty of New England. 

They moved together to Philadelphia, where they would settle for six years, buy a house, and get married. Mesi began her career as a Registered Nurse, Nate in craft brewing on the bottling line at Flying Fish Brewing Company in Cherry Hill, NJ, where he was later trained as a Brewer.

At this time, their plan was hatched to travel the country working Travel Nursing contracts and brewing beer. Stops included Denver, Charlotte, and Santa Rosa, CA in Sonoma County, where Nathan brewed for 3 years at the famed Russian River Brewing Company.

Now with a child (and soon to add another!), Mesi and Nathan moved back to western MA to raise their family and start a brewery, inspired by their travels throughout the U.S. After a stint at local favorite Building 8 Brewing, Nathan and Mesi founded Incandescent Brewing Company in 2024, opening in early 2025. They’re proud to pour world class beers inside their vivid and welcoming taproom in Bernardston, hosting live music weekly alongside a focused menu of beer-friendly bites.

  • YES! As of late August 2025, we have a selection of hand-held treats from great local purveyors for your taproom snacking pleasure, including tasty hand pies, spinach artichoke dip with fresh local bread, cornbread, and pretzels. Check out our menu HERE

    We love having food trucks now and then, and will not be serving our own food on those occasions. Follow us on social media to find out when food trucks will be joining us!

  • Absolutely! We have littles of our own and are an all ages space and welcome your well behaved little one. We have a small selection of various kid and adult friendly entertainment. Please help us keep that area clean and organized by tidying up after your kiddos. Please also be aware of where your children are at all times for the safety and enjoyment of all our guests.

  • For sure! Well behaved leashed dogs are welcome on our patio only. Task trained service dogs are the only exception to this rule. Please see the following link for details on ADA service animals. Disability rights for users of assistance animals | Mass.gov

    Please be mindful of your pets as children are often enjoying playing in the trees along the patio, so if your pup is shy around kiddos they may want to stay home.

  • We do not brew any gluten free beer, but we do brew seltzer. Our seltzer is made in the same barrels as our beers so we can not guarantee 100% gluten free, but its pretty close.

  • Our brewed seltzer is a plain unsweetened alcoholic seltzer. We use the clean label syrups and concentrates from Monin to flavor our seltzers as they are poured. Per Monin’s website and products labels the clean label line is allergen free, dairy free, gluten free, halal, kosher, no artificial colors, no artificial flavors, no artificial preservatives, no artificial sweeteners and made with natural flavors. While their concentrates are more low caloric as they do not have sugar in them the syrups do. Please ask your bartender for more information before placing your order

  • We are an all ages space so we have a variety of NA beverages to choose from in our reach in cooler. We also have Athletic as our NA beer option in the reach in as well. Just grab and pay at the counter.

  • We currently have a farm brewers license, which means we can only serve what we brew. Which at this time is only beer and seltzer. We do plan to have special, limited events from time to time utilizing special permits granted by the town that would allow us to serve other alcoholic drinks. Make sure to keep up with our events page for all the details on any upcoming events

  • Yes, please do! We are able to easily separate the Lounge and Stage Side via the garage door divider. We can host your private or semi-private event. Want to rent out the entire space? Give us a holler. We would love to host a micro wedding, birthday bash, or corporate event. We will easily be able to work with the vendors of your choosing.   • Yes! Our entrances and restrooms are fully ADA compliant.

  • We are growing this area of our business and do have a revolving inventory of gear and swag for sale in the taproom only. We also have giftcards! Ask your bartender.

  • There is parking in the lot in front of the brewery. You can also use the Kringle Candle parking lot across the street.
